The Nude Bridge or Naked Bridge at Desert Sun Resort

The Nude Bridge at the Desert Sun Resort

The Nude Bridge (also called the "Naked Bridge" by some) at the Desert Sun Resort connects two sections of our world famous nude resort. The bridge allows guests to cross over a major artery in Palm Springs, Indian Canyon Drive. It's is limited to pedestrian traffic and allows a private streets crossing for guests of our clothing optional resort.

Back before its existence, the Nude Bridge was proposed to the city so residents of the resort’s condos and resort guests wouldn't need to get dressed to travel across the street to enjoy amenities located on the opposite side of the resort. The city of Palm Springs was supportive of the idea and eventually construction of the nude bridge, as even kicked in $185,000 for street work around the project. They looked at it as a chance to create a memorable landmark and a portal to the city, not simply as an homage to the premier au naturale resort in Palm Springs. Just a few years later, the Nude Bridge has indeed become quite a landmark, being the target of a joke or two on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno.
