Message from Michael
Hi everyone! Welcome to the first edition of The Desert Sun Newsletter, "The Beam". I thought it was about time to create a fun way to keep our guests up to date on all things "Desert Sun". I also want it to be a way of showing potential guests what a great time we are having here at the resort. Since our opening on April 25th of this year, The Desert Sun Team has worked tirelessly on rejuvenating the property and creating fun-filled naturist events. It has given me great pleasure to see familiar faces returning to the resort as well as many new visitors and even first time naturists.
On a personal note, I would like to thank all of our guests, members, and homeowners for making my job here so incredibly satisfying. Naturists are the most interesting, diverse, and loving people on the planet. I am so grateful for the support you have all given me in my endeavors to create an atmosphere, truly unique for naturists, where they can retreat, relax and refresh. I would also like to thank my staff. I picked the best people the hospitality industry has to offer and every day they do me proud with their outstanding customer service.
If any of you have not yet visited Desert Sun Resort, I invite you to come, bare your buns, and spend some time with us. If you have any questions or concerns at all, please contact me so that I can put your mind at ease and get you to experience this truly outstanding property first hand. The sun is shining; the water is warm, and the people .. priceless!

Recently:
- The last weekend of October brought a lot of spooky, naked people to the resort. All here to celebrate our annual Halloween bash. We kicked it off with a Masked Karaoke Party on Friday night. We experienced another Elvis sighting, but on this night he actually got up and sang for us. And what a treat to find out that Zorro plays his own guitar. Saturday night, our ghoulish guests blazed their way across our famous "Baxandall Bridge" to the party room, which had been magically transformed into an eerily beautiful haunted forest. There, we partied right through the witching hours. A special thanks to all those who participated in our costume contest, to Lynne Smith who hosted the Masked Karaoke on Friday, DJ'd the Dance on Saturday and created all the sets and decorations for the Party Room. Spooktacular job! We already have bookings for next Halloween!
- AANR WEST BOARD MEETING: Oct 31st and Nov. 1st, we were honored to have the board members of AANR West conduct their board meeting here at the resort. If you are not familiar with AANR and the wonderful work they do please visit their website at http://www.aanr.com.
- NAKED VOLLEYBALL: We are pleased to see the Naked Volleyball Group back at the resort, twice since we opened. A truly nice group of active naturists with a competitive edge, who just love to get undressed and hit the court for some high spirited volleyball action.
